This was part of the family DVD haul at Christmas as we
missed it at the cinema. I’d read some negative reviews and fan grumblings
(surprise) and to be honest I wasn’t holding out much hope.
How wrong was I!!
I thoroughly enjoyed the film, ok so it’s not perfect, the
‘Spidey’ cgi hasn’t moved on since the Rami films and the Spider vision is just
bad. However the two leads (Garfield and Stone) are pitch perfect and the
Lizard really isn’t that bad. Even Sally Field is watchable.
It’s a solid comic book adaptation that’s well worth a
watch.
